FOUNTAIN OF LIFE

APRIL 5 - MAY 4, 2024

This collection embodies my profound passion for painting, revolving around the concept of finding the spiritual source in this highly commercial world wrought with over-consumption and utilitarianism.

I often find solace and inspiration in the simplicity of everyday life. As I strive to capture the vitality and energy inherent in life itself. Through various themes and subjects, I delve into the intricate relationships between humans, nature, and contemporary society. This exhibition is to delve into the complexities of our world while advocating for a return to simplicity and a reconnection with our intrinsic nature.

My work often draws inspiration from small, everyday scenes, aiming to capture the fleeting sensations in life. I infuse ordinary settings with vibrant energy and vitality, delving into the depth of the inner realm and capturing subtle psychological nuances.  By reprocessing memories, I craft a subjective “new version” of it, I seek to create a delicate balance between illusion and reality, enabling viewers to explore a realm where their interpretations and emotions come to life.

In addition to drawing inspiration from daily life, I got inspired by traditional Chinese ink painting, whose significant emphasis on spontaneity and intuition. I often approach my work with a sense of fluidity, allowing the brushstrokes to flow freely and intuitively across the paper. I strive to maintain a sense of spontaneity and fluidity, embracing the unpredictability of the medium to create dynamic and expressive compositions.

I like embracing chance and randomness without much preplanning. I enjoy the organic combination of acrylic and oil painting mediums, using acrylics as a base to build up thickness and texture, then adding layers of oil paint to enhance color depth. I also love employing various techniques such as splashing, pouring, dripping, and spraying to achieve the randomness of and richness of texture. This approach promotes a harmonious integration of elements. I value organic textures and aim to convey a seamless, natural essence in my work, avoiding prominent brushstrokes in favor of a more spontaneous and intuitive portrayal.

In conclusion, “Fountain of Life” is a visual journey that invites viewers to explore the complexities of our world and reconnect with the vitality and energy of life itself. Through a combination of personal experiences, traditional influences, and innovative techniques, I aim to create a unique and enriching artistic experience for all who attend.

My artistic pursuits center around delving into the spiritual core of humanity within the context of our contemporary world. They also serve as a reflection of my thoughts on the subtle and complicated psychological world.

Amidst the relentless whirlwind of our fast-paced and highly commercialized society, I crave the rediscovery and reconnection to our innate nature. Through my paintings, I strive to capture the vibrancy and richness of life. I draw inspiration from the simplicity of everyday life, like many often overlooked small scenes. These moments are a constant wellspring of inspiration source for me, I want to capture subtle emotions and sensations behind them. Infusing unique energy and vitality with those ordinary settings, I aim to blur the line between illusion and reality, inviting viewers to explore a realm where their interpretations and emotions are vividly brought to life.

I enjoy embracing chance and spontaneity in my paintings, allowing inspiration to guide my creative process. With ample emotional accumulation, I seamlessly pour my feelings onto the canvas. I employ a variety of techniques to achieve rich textures and natural blending, including splashing, pouring, dripping, and spraying. By using diverse materials such as fingers, sponges, and tissue paper, I introduce randomness and unpredictability into the composition, resulting in a harmonious integration of elements. I value organic textures and aim to convey a seamless, natural essence in my work, avoiding prominent brushstrokes in favor of a more spontaneous and intuitive portrayal.
